Factors Affecting Cancer and Heart Disease Mortality Rates

Increasingly, peripheral blood stem cell harvest and transplant is used either in place of or in addition to the autologous bone marrow transplant, and the pre-treatment patient may soon not be his only possible donor as the use of stem cells harvested from umbilical cord blood is more heavily investigated.
